Our teams are close-knit groups brought together by our love of skating and synchro. We provide an opportunity for our skaters to compete at high-profile competitions, learn new skills, meet new people, and most of all have fun!
Skating with a synchro team is a unique experience as you will be in close proximity with other skaters. Working together, good sportsmanship and respect for your new teammates and coach are paramount. All synchro teams are mixed gender.
We welcome new skaters at all times of year, so if you are interested, get in touch now!

Costs are covered by the kitty wherever possible, but there may be occasional extra fees. What skills do I need?
No synchro experience is necessary.
Ideally you will need at least a Skate UK level gold or equivalent (no formal test pass is needed), but as a minimum you must have strong and confident forwards and backwards crossovers, mohawks and 3-turns. We don’t mind whether you have an ice dance or figure skating background – our skaters are very varied in terms of their experience and skillset.
Hull Arena requires skaters to be of a certain standard to use patch ice. This is assessed by the coaches. If you haven’t skated on patch at Hull recently, speak to our coach at your first session (or in advance) and if you are of the appropriate standard she can add your name to the list of permitted skaters held by the rink. You can then apply for a free patch card which allows you to access any patch session to practice. Anyone who is of an appropriate standard to skate with the team will qualify for patch, but you’ll still need to be added to the list.
